Chanderpaul and Roach did a very good job this morning of playing positively and not allowing New Zealand to get any sort of encouragement. By the time Roach was dismissed, the job was already done. New Zealand will look at their second innings and say that is where the game for them, was lost. Simply put, they did not score anywhere near enough runs. Martin Guptill batted well for his side but there wasn't enough runs from the rest of the side. They will look over this Tour of the West Indies and they'll be satisfied with the bowling department but the batting department has simply not been good enough. The West Indies have won their first Test series in the Caribbean since 2009 and have been good value for their win in this game and the First Test too. All departments of their game has been solid enough and have certainly learnt lessons from their recent tour of England. Marlon Samuels was the star man for the Windies in this Second Test and deserves all the credit coming his way, he was superb with the bat during both innings. Deonarine was important with the ball during the New Zealand second innings and Kemar Roach did a very good job during the first New Zealand innings. West Indies have won this game by 5 wickets and the series, 2-0.
