The plot: Santa oversees this year's delivery of presents in his hi-tech spacecraft, masterminded with military precision by eldest son Steve. A malfunction in the loading bay goes unnoticed by the elves in mission control and a young girl called Gwen doesn't receive her pink bicycle. With time running out until Gwen's Christmas is ruined, Arthur joins forces with Grandsanta and wrapping elf Bryony to deliver Gwen's gift using the old sleigh and a team of retired reindeer.

what the others say

Total Film

"There are plenty of ho-ho-hos here, most of them coming from Ashley Jensen?s helium-voiced elf Bryony. But there's definitely something missing, and we don?t just mean the plasticine..."

Empire

"This could very well come to be regarded as a Christmas classic."

Time Out

"What makes this festive fantasy engaging is the savvy way in which it debunks cold efficiency in favour of more wholesome values. It's just a pity Arthur himself is so bland."
