The plot: Dark clouds gather as Harry and his chums Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their sixth term to news that Voldemort continues to gain in strength. Professor Snape is announced as the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher to the delight of Slytherin. While Ron and Hermione continue with their studies, Harry spends time with Dumbledore, using a Pensieve to delve into Voldemort's past.
