The plot: Scrat's pursuit of his beloved acorn has cataclysmic consequences for an entire continent, propelling Manny the woolly mammoth and his soul mate Ellie, Diego the sabre-toothed tiger and Sid the sloth on their greatest and most dangerous adventure yet. En route, the herd reunites Sid with his 80-year-old grandmother then comes under attack from sea-faring pirates led by the prehistoric ape Captain Gutt.
