The plot: Disgraced former NYPD officer Luke Wright was betrayed by dirty cops in his precinct under the control of Captain Wolf. During a failed suicide attempt on a Metro platform, he encounters 10-year-old mathematical genius, Mei, who is being used by Han Jiao as a counting machine to keep track of the Triads' assets. When the Russian mob snatches Mei in order to steal the Triads' dirty secrets, Luke intervenes, all guns blazing.

what the others say
"A rough, exhausting, exhilarating action picture with a payoff which would have delighted Sam Fuller or Howard Hawks."
"With Yakin's all-action plot operating like clockwork, an on-song Statham proves anything but expendable in a genre he dominates. Predictable, sure, but equally pleasurable."
"The occasional efficient action sequence means that Safe never gets truly dull, but even Statham aficionados might feel short- changed by this one."
