The plot: Brothers Curly, Larry and Moe are abandoned on the steps of the Sisters Of Mercy Orphanage and run amok, driving the Mother Superior and her sisters to distraction. Twenty-five years later, Curly, Larry and Moe are still living at the orphanage when Monsignor Ratliffe delivers the shocking news that the orphanage is to be shut down unless the sisters can raise $830,000 in the next 30 days.
