The plot: In the late 21st century, Earth has been devastated by World War III. Factory worker Doug Quaid feels disgruntled so he visits Rekall, which promises to realise clients' dreams using implanted artificial memories. Rekall representative McClane discovers that Doug has previously experienced a memory wipe, suggesting he has something to hide. Soon after, Doug learns that his wife Lori is a spy, who has been surveying him for years, making sure his fractured memories of the past do not resurface.
