120 MINS: MAN UTD ARE OUT! Crystal Palace have done it! They are into the semi-finals of the Carling Cup after a magnificent win at Old Trafford. Thanks for staying up late with me this evening and sharing your comments. The full match report will follow shortly.

119 mins: Diouf is in on goal but Clyne gets a magnificent foot in to stop him from shooting. That should be it!

117 mins: Man United are knocking the ball around deep in the Palace but cannot find a way past this rearguard defence.

114 mins: Zaha has run himself into the ground tonight but still he plugs on down the Palace left. He cuts back inside on his right but eventually runs into trouble. Six minutes left!

111 mins:Frustration is starting to sink in now for Man United as Gibson is shown a yellow for a late tackle. Time is ticking away for the Red Devils...

107 mins: Man United kick-off and attack almost immediately with Valencia. He blasts in a dangerous ball into the box but there is McCarthy to head clear for Palace.

105 MINS: HALF-TIME!Palace are just 15 minutes away from a famous victory at Old Trafford and from a place in the semi-final. Can they do it? Second half coming up in a matter of moments.

101 mins: Ambrose nearly scores another peach! My word he can't half strike a ball. This time it's from a dead ball situtation and he forces Amos to punch clear from 40 yards out.

100 mins: Macheda misses an easy chance! All he has to do is tuck it around the helpless Price in the Palace goal but from 12 yards out he has side-footed it wide. This could be Crystal Palace's night.

99 mins: Man United nearly pull it back immediately again as Gibson's volley 18 yards out is a whisker away of finding the bottom left corner.

97 MINS: PALACE BACK IN FRONT! Crickey what an upset we have on our hands here! A Crystal Palace free-kick is drilled in from the left where MURRAY heads in from close range. There's a hint of offside but it's going to count!

94 mins: Gibson is urged to shoot on the edge of the Palace box and he duly obliges, narrowly missing the left post. It takes a slight deflection but the resulting corner comes to nothing.

92 mins: Man United waste no time in attacking. Park drifts in from the right channel but he is the latest in a long line of players to drag his shot wide.

90 mins: Welcome back for extra time at Old Trafford. Palace get the game restarted.

90+3 MINS: EXTRA TIME!!! No side can find the winner so we head into extra time. It's going to be a late one and I suspect a few accumulators have been ripped now. I know mine has! Stay tuned at least another half an hour of glorious football.

90 mins: The Man United net is bulging but that's only because Murray has smashed the side netting from a tight angle on the right. Three minutes stoppage time remaining.

88 mins: Morrison has another shot from distance but again it is scuffed wide of the goal.

84 mins: Palace hit back with a couple of corners but neither of them are close to finding the back of the net. I think we are heading for extra time...

82 mins:A quick free-kick is taken by Man United and it's out to Valencia on the right. He finds Macheda in the box however he can't get his shot away after some neat close control.

79 mins: Man United are beginning to press once more with Valencia who plays Morrison. He tries to track back and shoot with his right but Gardner steps in for Palace and tackles the young United man.

75 mins: Last change now for Palace as Easter comes off for former Brighton man Murray.

73 mins:Dikgacoi searches out Easter on the right for Palace after some good but the ball through is just too long and it goes out for a Man U throw.

70 mins: Parr rockets forward down the left for Palace and he could have gone even further and got a shot in at goal. Instead, he curls the ball along the six-yard box but it's too far ahead of Easter for him to tap in.

68 MINS: MAN UNITED LEVEL! Well this game has suddenly exploded into life! Macheda steps up confidently and places the ball into the bottom left corner, sending the keeper the wrong way in the process. The match is nicely poised now!

67 mins: PENALTY TO MANCHESTER UNITED!McCarthy has potentially undone all of Ambrose's hard work as he pulls on Macheda's shirt just as he was about to pull the trigger. The Italian will take it...

65 mins: Just before that absolute belter of a goal, Rafael makes way for the highly-rated Pogba.

64 MINS: WHAT A SCREAMER!!! Crystal Palace are ahead! AMBROSE has just found the top left corner of the Man United goal from all of 40 yards out! What a rocket from the former Magpie!

60 mins: Man United are really knocking on the door now as Morrison's shot is turned away by the left boot of Price. Morrison has looked very lively since he has come on.

57 mins: Gibson is beginning to become more dominant in the midfield now for Man United. He knocks the ball to Macheda who has the ball swiped away from him by Price.

Luke, Glasgow -"Would be nice to see Man Utd slip up to lower opposition after Chelsea's embarrassment last night to Liverpool"

53 mins: Space opens up for Morrison to have a shot and he manages to force Price into a diving save. This is much better from the home side and 75 per cent possession since the break reflects this.

Dan Hallam, Kirkby -"Ravel Morrison for me is the new beckham but with pace.... some superb crosses."

51 mins: What a chance for Man United! Gardner initially makes a right mess of controlling the ball in his own half and Valencia races through on goal. He aims for the bottom left corner but his shot flashes inches wide of the post!

49 mins: Diouf and Gibson play a clever one-two in the attacking third before the latter sees his shot deflect wide of the goalmouth. Price just about stops the ball going out for a corner.

47 mins: Remember if we are still level after 90 minutes we will have extra time and penalties if needed. I shudder at the thought! Talking of Berbatov, do you reckon he will be shown the door in January? I think he might you know.

Jake -"2-1 to palace. up the eagles!!!!"

45 mins: Welcome back for the second half where both sides have made changes. For Man United, Berbatov is off for Morrison and Ambrose replaces the injured Moxey for Palace. Moxey picked up a knock just before the break.

HALF-TIME:Man United try to launch one last attack but Price makes a confident claim for the ball. Palace are more than capable of sneaking a famous win here as the hosts just haven't got going so far. Will Man United improve in the second 45? Join in fifteen minutes to find out.

45 mins: Two minutes of time added on here at Old Trafford. Scannell has pulled up again for Palace and will play no further part in this match. Parr is his replacement.

43 mins: Diouf does well to adapt his body to meet a tricky cross from Valencia on the overhead but it's not troubling Price in the Palace goal.

George, Manchester -"macheda should play better!4-1 i think it will finish to united!"

41 mins: There is no communication between Berba and Macheda currently and it's just been shown. They both go for the same cross which results in the Bulgarian flicking it into the hand of Macheda for a sloppy free-kick to Palace.

38 mins: A squeak of a penalty appeal for Palace as Gibson leaves a boot out which Zaha trips over. The ref doesn't spot it though so play continues.

37 mins: Fergie is forced into a change as we enter the latter stages of the first-half. Fabio has pulled his hammy it seems and so on comes Fryers to replace him.

35 mins: Scannell is ok to continue and immediately has a dig from around 20 yards out which drifts way wide. Meanwhile, Spurs are 2-0 down at home to PAOK in the Europa League. I bet Harry is loving it...

33 mins: No action to speak of and that's because Scannell is down with cramp. He obviously didn't stretch enough during the warm-up. Schoolboy error.

30 mins: Fergie isn't enjoying this! His team have a throw in a promising position but Diouf wastes it with an appalling foul-throw. The camera cuts to Sir Alex who mutters a few expletives under his breath.

28 mins: Ironic cheers from the travelling Palace fans as Fabio is shown a yellow card for a very late tackle on Zaha.

25 mins:Scannell's low drive from the edge of the box is crucially blocked by Evans. Berbatov is moving fine again if you were at all worried about the Bulgarian.

Bob, Doncaster -"man u to win 3-0"

22 mins: Berbatov is moving gingerly after landing awkwardly on his ankle. He is off the field at the moment receiving treatment on it. Liam in Redditch asks "i thought united were playing pogba and morrison??" Me too Liam. Both are on the bench though so they might get a run out later on. I've heard promising things about the pair of them.

18 mins: Gibson fancies a dig from 25 yards out which deflects over for a corner. That's about as good as it has got for Man United so far.

Liam Diblasi, Caerphilly -"United should have this in the bag, I say 3-0!"

14 mins:Fabio is one lucky lad! he clumsily stumbles into Zaha on the edge of the box but referee Chris Foy gives nothing. That could have easily been a red card as the young Palace striker was denied a goalscoring opportunity there!

13 mins:Diouf does well initially to hold up the play for Valencia before Park tumbles over the ball in the box, allowing Palace to clear.

9 mins: Scannell scampers down the left for Palace however he eventually runs into trouble. The visitors then launch another attack forward but the ball over the top is asking too much of Easter.

7 mins: The Red Devils try to respond with Macheda down the left of the box. He props the ball up to the far where it is headed behind for another corner. Berbatov nods it down on the edge of the box but it falls straight to a yellow shirt.

4 mins: The visitors are doing all the pressing at the moment! Dikgacoi lifts the ball over the top for Easter who gets in between the two Man U defenders. Smalling recovers and comes across well the divert the danger.

Danny, Leeds -"COME ON YOU EAGLES!!!!! MARCHING ON TOGETHER" Good evening fellow Leeds fan!

0 mins: Man United kick-off in their familiar red shirts. Palace are all in yellow.

1946: Before we kick-off there is a lovely minute of applause for the late, great Gary Speed. "There's only one Gary Speed" also echoes around Old Trafford.

1943: Is this going to be a routine win for Man United? It's well worth Crystal Palace have won their last three League Cup quarter-finals v top-flight opposition. Davo reckons "Berbatov to show his class against a poor palace team 3 0"
