86 mins: Swansea still fancy nicking this as well and are bringing on striker Shechter for midfielder Agustien.

Dez, Hants -"As a Chelsea fan ...Come on you swans can win this !!"

84 mins: Man United continue to turn the screw and are now throwing on Scholes to see if he can provide that one killer pass to give the Red Devils all three points. Cleverley makes way.

80 mins: Swansea are hanging on for dear life! van Persie's goal-bound shot is blocked by Williams and Young's effort on the follow-up is stopped near the line too! Giggs came on for Rooney by the way.

78 mins: The resulting free-kick is hit straight into the wall but Carrick his the woodwork moments later with a glancing header! Rooney has come off too to huge ironic cheers for the Swansea fans. It's not been his day today.

73 mins: Fergie is fuming as Rooney wastes yet another golden opportunity to slide in a team-mate for a simple finish. He might be coming off in the minute.

71 mins: Van Persie plays the ball marginally in front of the on-running Hernandez who manages to get an awkward shot away. It takes a nasty deflection, needing Vorm to adjust his body well at the last second. Moore replaces de Guzman for the Swans.

69 mins: Rooney tries too hard to win the ball back again for Man United and picks up a yellow hacking down Tiendalli near his own corner flag. Evans does well to head away deep inside the box.

66 mins: van Persie hits the crossbar! He gets just in front of Williams to flick on a cross from the left and it loops right onto the woodwork!

65 mins: Man United are starting to become the dominant side now and are hogging the ball. A couple of crosses have made their way into the Swansea box but neither trouble Vorm.

Jack, Loughborough -"michu is just amazing"

61 mins:Changes made by both sides now as Hernandez replaces Valencia for the league leaders. Britton comes off for Ki.

59 mins: Chico is the next man in the book for one foul too many. It's miles out but that doesn't put Rooney off from having a blast at goal. This one is straight at Vorm though.

57 mins: Both sides are dying to get forward but at the moment the attacks are fizzling out in each other's respective final thirds. You can't take your eyes off this one. There's so much going on!

54 mins:Routledge's quick feet dazzles Evans and his sharp shot needs a vital touch behind by De Gea. From the corner, Man United swarm forward and only a crucial interception from Williams stops van Persie's square pass reaching an unmarked Rooney.

45 mins: We're back! Man United get us restarted with both sides remaining untinkered with. Who's going to win this one then? Remember you can let me know your thoughts via the link above.

HALF-TIME: The ref brings an end to an excellent first-half at the Liberty Stadium. Evra's header put Man United into the lead against the run of play in the 16th minute but Swansea's response has been excellent and fully deserve to be at least on level terms in this intriguing clash. Join me again in 15 minutes for what promises to be an entertaining second half.

44 mins: Evra hustles and bustles down the left before dragging the ball back into Rooney who cracks it straight at the grateful Vorm.

Wayne, Isle of White -"3-1 to the swans today get in"

32 mins: van Persie tries to restore Man United's lead immediately but thrashes his shot on his weaker right foot way wide.

29 MINS: SWANSEA BACK LEVEL! And it's that man again MICHU! Routledge unlocks the Man United defence with a first-time pass to de Guzman. De Gea then parries his strike from a tight angle on the right straight into the path of his compatriot who pokes it in! A thoroughly-deserved equaliser!

26 mins: Dyer, on the right flank, helps Tiendalli's cushioned header on towards the near post where Michu can't get his header down.

13 mins: Chances fall at either end as Michu and Rooney both have shots from distance which take a deflection on their way to goal. Vorm, who will need to blow off a few cobwebs, just about keeps Rooney's effort out.

11 mins: Swansea are on the surge yet again as de Guzman's intended pass through to Michu comes straight back to him. Instead he finds Dyer, whose curling effort from the edge of the area forces De Gea to make a low catch near his left post.

9 mins: It's not like Swansea to go route one but it very nearly comes off. Agustien pumps a long ball forward, Michu shrugs off his marker before cracking the ball over the crossbar.

6 mins: Lovely play from Swansea as Dyer's flick is threaded through by de Guzman with a classy touch. Tiendalli gets the better of Evra but there's nobody there to get on the end of what is a teasing cross.

3 mins:A lively start in Wales with Rooney seeing an early effort deflected. Valencia tries to keep the move alive but his cross is a poor one.

James, Woking -"michu to score first united to win 1-2 comeback kings !!!!!"

match report

Manchester United were held to their first draw of the season as Swansea held on in a 1-1 stalemate in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium.

Patrice Evra gave United an early lead, but Michu drew Swansea level before the half hour mark with his 13th goal of the campaign.

United dominated the second half and twice hit the crossbar, but Swansea defended brilliantly to pick up a share of the spoils.

After a bright start from Swansea it was United who created the first noteworthy effort of the game on 13 minutes when Wayne Rooney saw his swerving shot kept out by a smart save from Michel Vorm.

Vorm came to Swansea's rescue again a minute later when he produced a smart reaction save to keep out Ashley Young's shot inside the box after Carrick played the winger in on goal with a fine pass.

United made the breakthrough on 16 minutes with Evra heading home his third Premier League goal of the season after rising highest to meet Robin van Persie's whipped in corner with the ball going in off the far post past Leon Britton on the line.

Swansea came roaring back into the game and they drew level just before the hour mark with Michu netting his 13th goal of the season.

Wayne Routledge slipped in Jonathan de Guzman inside the box and his shot across goal could only be palmed out by David de Gea to the grateful Michu who tapped home the rebound from close-range.

United had a great chance to restore their lead just before the break when Evra got in down the left and pulled the back for the unmarked Rooney 12 yards from goal, but the England man could only fire his shot straight at Vorm.

Swansea started the brighter of the two sides at the start of the season half and De Gea was twice called into the action to keep out efforts from Kemy Agustien and Wayne Routledge.

Ashley Williams produced a superb block to deny Young inside the box after van Persie teed up the winger for a shot on goal.

The visitors were beginning to turn the screw and United were inches away from restoring their lead on 67 minutes when out of nothing van Persie saw his instinctive volley from Rooney's cross loop onto the crossbar.

Things threatened to boil over 16 minutes from time when Williams and van Persie were both booked after a melee involving the pair when after being fouled Williams drilled the ball into the Dutchman's head while he was on the ground.

United struck the cross bar for a second time on 78 minutes when Carrick got on the end of van Persie's corner and was unlucky to see his effort come back off the woodwork.

Swansea were defending in numbers and Williams and Davies produced vital blocks inside the box to deny van Persie and Young respectively as United piled on the pressure.

United threw everything at Swansea in the closing stages, but they could not find a way past as they had to settle for a point to move four points clear at the top of the table.
