FULL-TIME: MAN CITY WIN! The current champions are back to winning ways in the league and narrow the gap to Man United to just 12 points! They thoroughly deserve all three points today which was inspired by Hart's great penalty save which denied Lampard his 200th Chelsea goal. Thanks for joining Orange's coverage. Stick around for the match report and enjoy the League Cup final!
90 mins: Nasri and Lescott comes on for brief appearances as Aguero and Silva make way. Four minutes are added on.
89 mins: Chelsea try to launch a quick break but Ramires is stopped in his tracks by Kolarov.
85 MINS: TEVEZ WRAPS IT UP! A stunning finish from the Argentine! From just outside the area, he blasts the ball between Cahill and Ivanovic before watching it fly into the top-left corner!
81 mins: Rafa throws on Torres for the last ten minutes. The Spaniard replaces Mikel as the Blues go two up top.
79 mins: Mata overhits what was an easy pass to send Oscar through from an inside-left position. City's incredibly deep defensive line is let off the hook there.
75 mins: Great play from Clichy under pressure as he chests back a dangerous cross to Hart inside his own six-yard box.
72 mins: Man City have seen off the mini-threat from Chelsea and are back in possession of the ball. Milner and Y Toure try a quick give and go but the former is outmuscled by Cole.
69 mins: Hazard is also coming off for Oscar as Chelsea hunt for the equaliser.
66 mins: Man City seem happy at the moment to sit back and allow Chelsea the ball inside their own half. Lampard is coming off for the Blues and on comes Moses.
62 MINS: CITY TAKE THE LEAD! Great finish from Y TOURE! He takes on two Chelsea players inside the area and then uses Cahill as an obstacle to guide the ball around into the very bottom-right corner. Cech had no chance!
59 mins: Aguero wriggles free of Cahill this time, but can only plop the ball onto the roof of the net as he tries to catch Cech off his line. City make their first change with Tevez coming on for Rodwell.
55 mins: Back come City now with Aguero who receives the ball deep inside the opposition area. He tries to force the ball goalwards from a tight angle but Cahill is there with a fine, sliding block.
51 MINS: HART MAKES AMENDS! He's denied Lampard his 200th Chelsea goal with a fantastic save low down to his right. Unbelievable scenes!
50 MINS: PENALTY TO CHELSEA! A massive error of judgement by Hart! Lampard pumps a long ball into area where Ba is first to it. He tries to take it round the 'keepr who clearly drags him down! Definitely a penalty!
47 mins: Man City pick up where they left off with Silva down the left. He curls the ball into the path of Aguero who sends an acrobatic volley flashing wide.
45 mins: Welcome back for the second-half you lucky, lucky lot. No changes at the break.
HALF-TIME: The ref brings an end to a half that Man City have completely dominated with adventurous full-back Zabaleta having the best chance. Hart has had nothing to do apart from catch a cross in the second minute of stoppage time! Join me here again in 15 minutes to see if the deadlock will be broken.
45 mins: Zabaleta is into the book as the ref adds on two minutes of stoppage time. It's all very scrappy now as we approach half-time.
42 mins: Rodwell works Cech twice in matter of minutes! The first is a powerful shot which the goalie helps over. Then from the resulting corner, Rodwell heads straight at him from inside the six-yard box.
40 mins: So very nearly a wonderful City goal! Milner threads the ball through an eye of a needle to pick out Aguero towards the left byline. The Argentine then scoops it back to his compatriot Zabaleta, whose fizzing volley is cleared off the line!
36 mins: Ramires is in the book for catching Yaya Toure on the knee. Man City had the chance to play advantage but knock it out instead.
34 mins: "Come on chelsea shut the noisy neighbours up once and 4all ha. Chelsea 2 win 3-1" encourages Phil in Warrington.
32 mins: Silva delivers another fantastic ball into the six-yard box from a Man City corner. Ramires is the latest player this time to stick his nut on it.
29 mins:City's ill-discipline continues and this time it results in a yellow card for Rodwell. Chelsea are inching their way back into this match now.
28 mins: Man City concede a flurry of silly free-kicks, giving Chelsea chance after chance to test Hart. The City 'keeper continues to be a bystander as he watches Lampard's outrageously long-range effort zoom well over.
25 mins: Cahill and Hazard try and create an opening inside the Man City area but Silva and Milner combine, eventually coming away with the ball.
23 mins: THS , Newcastle - " Man city will cruise through beating chelsea 2-0 first scorer aguero then yaya toure"
21 mins: Yaya Toure slides a glorious ball out to Clichy who is able to rampage forward. He crosses towards the near post where Cahill, who appears to be at the heart of everything for Chelsea so far, clears well away.
19 mins: Silva and Yaya Toure are having plenty of joy as they continue to get in behind the Chelsea midfield. The former plays a lovely pass to Aguero, who makes the choice in rounding Cech as the angle narrows and the ball runs out of play.
Roy, Bury St Edmunds -"I'll be surprised if Lampard doesn't score, but then life is full of surprises. Chelsea to show their stubborn streak and nick it somehow."
15 mins: Great chance for Nastasic! He goes completely unnoticed from a Man City corner, but can only guide his free header straight at Cech who pushes it away.
12 mins: Kolo Toure has made a postive start to this match. He wins two vital headers to bring two Chelsea attacks in quick succession to an abrupt end.
Cris, Inverness -"Today Chelsea are going to show why they won CL last year :)"
10 mins: Milner does well to see off Lampard and Luiz down the right flank. He gets to byline, stabs a cross to the near post where Aguero appears to be brought down by Cahill. The ref, though, is not interested in the penalty appeals.
7 mins: A swift counter from Chelsea results in Ba winning a corner off the legs of Kolo Toure. It's easily cleared. "see city winning hope im wrong but cant see it chelseas threat isnt as strong as citys" texts Mark the Manc.
James, Woking -"watch ba today !!!!! todays his day"
5 mins: Chelsea have been very sloppy in the pass so far. It's allowing Man City to thunder forward but Aguero's little run inside is blocked off by the Blues backline.
2 mins: Man City waste little time in getting forward with Yaya Toure, who forces Cech into an early stop from 20 yards out.
0 mins: We're off! Is there actually anything riding on this game? I'm struggling to think of a spin to put on this. Anyway, Man City are in light blue and Chelsea are in their snazzy black and yellow strip.

Manchester City were grateful for a penalty save from Joe Hart and goals from Yaya Toure and Carlos Tevez as a 2-0 win over Chelsea allowed the defending Premier League champions to claw back some ground in the title race.
Having given away a second-half spot-kick with a foul on Demba Ba and then avoided a possible red card, England No.1 Hart responded by saving his international team-mate Frank Lampard's attempt from 12 yards.
That set the stage for Toure and substitute Tevez to go on and win the game and allow City to continue to cling to the hope of catching table-topping Manchester United.
United had temporarily moved 15 points clear with their win at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday but Roberto Mancini's City reduced that deficit by three points.
Both managers had gone into the game under considerable pressure but Mancini ended it far happier than Chelsea counterpart Rafa Benitez, who suffered more abuse from fans.
Jack Rodwell made only his third City start and he played a part in a positive start by the home team, who had their first shot within 40 seconds as Yaya Toure took aim from the edge of the area but Petr Cech saved easily.
Despite their early dominance, it was 15 minutes before City really tested Cech as Matija Nastasic went forward for a corner but the goalkeeper dealt with the Serbian's header before then doing the same from Rodwell later in the half.
City went into the second half with the same determination but Sergio Aguero's acrobatic volley from David Silva's cross went well wide.
The game's pivotal moment then came in the 50th minute as City switched off at the back and Ba raced on to a long ball from deep before shrugging off Kolo Toure and being brought down by the onrushing Hart.
Referee Andre Marriner immediately pointed to the spot but importantly felt Ba was just moving away from goal and did not show Hart a card, allowing the goalkeeper to stay on and save Lampard's penalty.
The game opened up and City made the decisive breakthrough just after the hour when Yaya Toure jinked into the penalty area before making space to curl a low finish beyond Cech and in at the far post.
Chelsea made a double change in response, with Lampard, after a frustrating game by recent standards, making way along with Eden Hazard for Victor Moses and Oscar.
But it was City substitute Tevez who made the most dramatic impact, putting the game beyond the visitors with a superb strike from outside the area five minutes from time.
