live commentary

90+4 mins: Man Utd pile the pressure on and after panic in the West Ham box it comes out to Valencia but he screws his last-ditch effort way off target... and that's FULL TIME! They'll have to do it all again in a fortnight!

90+2 mins: Man Utd want this done and dusted tonight. They're pushing bodies up.

90 mins: RVP LEVELS FOR THE RED DEVILS! The board goes with with four minutes on. Then Giggs produces a stunning long pass out right, Van Persie controls superbly on the run in the box and fires home low past Jaaskelainen!

Kev, Cheshire: "Here's hoping for no "fergie time" so my 4/1 home win comes in. fingers crossed."

89 mins: That should have been the equaliser! Rafael bends in a lovely cross from the right, Giggs gets ahead of Demel and meets it eight yards out but plants his header over the bar!

87 mins: It's nearly three! Noble's cushioned header back in the box finds Cole but his effort's just wide at the left post! There's a flag up - for a push? Offside? Not sure.

84 mins: Vidic picks up a yellow card for either a) felling Jarvis down by the left corner flag, or b) blasting the ball into the baying crowd. Take your pick! Noble flicks the ball in on towards Carlton Cole, it's cleared as far as Collison but his effort from the edge of the box is high into the stand.

Pete: "I bet the look on fergies face be priceless if they lose! Haha :-)"

81 mins: Man Utd win a couple of quick corners which are stoutly defended. Vidic then gets his head on a ball in the box but he's stretching for it and can't get it anywhere near the target.

78 mins: One sub apiece - Giggs comes on for Smalling, while Joe Cole gets a standing ovation after a brilliant second debut with two assists to his name. He's been superb, and is replaced by Taylor.

AJ, Manc: "should of left hernendez and taken off welbeck"

76 mins: Man Utd keep the ball for what seems an age as they look to break through a wall of claret and blue, before Rafael's loose control sees him robbed yards out.

74 mins: Welbeck beats Tomkins to meet RVP's cross from the left but his looping header's a yard over the bar from eight yards. Second sub for the Irons as Diarra makes way for Noble.

71 mins: Energy-sapping run by young Potts down the left but his 50 yards of effort are in vain as it's just over-run and out for a goal-kick.

69 mins: Buttner wins a corner for Man Utd down the left, and before it's taken Fergie makes a double sub, Hernandez (hmm...) and Scholes making way for RVP and Valencia. The corner comes in and Van Persie's first touch is a header wide of the near post.

66 mins: Cole comes back on with cotton woll plugs up his nose. United apparently were about to bring RVP on, but he's had to nip to the toilet. Yes, I'm serious.

64 mins: Joe Cole takes a smack in the mush and needs some treatment on a bloody nose.

62 mins: Fergie's got some big names on the bench (as ever) - will we see the likes of Van Persie, Young and Valencia thrown on soon?

60 mins: Big Sam makes a change, Vaz Te making way for Jarvis.

59 mins: THE IRONS LEAD! COLLINS BAGS A BRACE! It's Cole and Collins linking up again - Joe Cole bends another peach of a cross in from the left this time and Collins' header is even better than the first, leaving De Gea rooted from 15 yards. After scoring his first for the club he's now got a taste for it!

57 mins: Superb stop by De Gea! It's Joe Cole's umpteenth great cross which finds Carlton Cole, his 12-yard header looks a cert for the top corner but De Gea plucks it from the air at full stretch to his right!

55 mins: There's a break in play while Collison needs treatment after a clash before the bounce ball is booted back to De Gea. The Irons are seeing more of the ball since the break than they did in the first half.

52 mins: Smalling crosses from the right, Welbeck tries a tricky drag back with the ball in the air to set himself up in the six-yard box but it just runs out of play. That would have been something special...

48 mins: Welbeck and Rafael link up well down the right of the box, it's half-cleared before Cleverley's follow-up shot is rattled over the bar from 20 yards.

46 mins: West Ham get the second half under way playing left to right with no subs to report. Joe Cole's quickly into the action after the break, caught in two minds before thrashing a long-ranger off target.

45+2 mins: Another fine ball into the box from the right by Joe Cole but Vidic clears just ahead of Carlton Cole. Diarra bids to get it back in... but the whistle goes for half time! Nicely poised in east London at the break after the unmarked Cleveley's opener on the break from Henandez's cross, which was cancelled out by Collins' header from Joe Cole's lovely ball into the box. Keep your thoughts on the game coming via the box on the right, and join me for the second half from 1820.

45 mins: There's two minutes added on at the Boleyn Ground as Cole of the Carlton flavour just fails to find Vaz Te in the six-yard box.

43 mins: Can anyone can think of one good reason why the whole game has to stop so Vaz Te can do up his laces? No?

41 mins: That's wayward from Vaz Te, screwing a shot wildly into the stands from 20 yards out.

39 mins: Scholes gives away a cheap free-kick down the right of the box. Joe Cole clips it in looking for Nolan but it's headed clear, Collison gets it back in the mixer but Smalling clears.

37 mins: Collison's second in the book for bringing down Rafael.

35 mins: West Ham win a corner down the right which is cleared by Hernandez and sets up a break. Wellbeck has a crack from the left of the box but it's beaten away by Jaaskelainen and hoofed clear.

33 mins: Huge roar for a penalty from the Irons fans as Nolan goes down under Vidic's challenge but ref Atkinson's not interested!

30 mins: Joe Cole drifts over to the right flank and bends in another great ball but Evans just beats Carlton Cole to it in the box.

27 mins: COLLINS LEVELS FOR THE IRONS! It's a brilliant cross by Joe Cole from the left, packed with pace, and Collins directs it past De Gea from 12 yards! It's his first goal for West Ham, and simple as you like!

25 mins: Scholes is first in ref Atkinson's book for a tackle from behind on Collison.

23 mins: CLEVERLEY FIRES THE RED DEVILS AHEAD! West Ham are caught on the counter, the unmarked Cleverely's picked out on the left of the box with a superb cross by Hernandez and he keeps his head to slot past Jaaskelainen.

19 mins: Off the line! Vidic gets the better of Collins to meet a corner from the left, Potts clearing the downward header from the goalmouth!

17 mins: Man Utd have the ball in the net but the flag's up for offside - Hernandez mistimes his run a tad after getting in behind Potts.

15 mins: The Irons pump a long ball into the box and Nolan's inches from getting something on it, but he's well shackled by Smalling.

Phil, Tamworth: "4-0 man u , vidic first scorer pay bk for our cup 4-0 loss against them"

12 mins: Great chance for the Irons! Potts wins a corner down the left, Diarra gets up well and sees his close-range downward header cleared off the line by Scoles as it bounces up, before Carlton Cole's follow-up header is deflected off target by Vidic!

9 mins: Could easily have been the opener! Good run by Smalling into the right of the box and an even better ball by Scoles to pick him out, he crosses first time on the volley but it flashes a yard past Hernandez' outstretched leg in the six-yard box!

Josh, Rotherham: "3-1 Man U is my bet, lookign good so far"

6 mins: Second-time debutant Cole wins a free-kick down the right to break up a Man Utd attack. He looks a different fella to the fresh-faced lad who last wore claret and blue. Invest in better moisturiser Joey, and drink plenty of water.

Milfred, India: "west ham 1-2 man utd joe cole, hernandez, kagawa"

4 mins: Man Utd are seeing most of the ball and knocking it round at a low tempo, building slowly from the back.

Alix, Darlington: "Im for ever blowing bubles. ha ha only thing the hammers being blowing will be ther noeses .man 4 west ham 0"

2 mins: Cleverley looks to slip Hernandez in down the left of the box but Jaaskelainen reads it well and slides to gather.

Kev, Cheshire: "West ham for a home win at odds of 4/1 is just too good to miss. you just know fergie will ring the changes to the team. come on the hammers."

0 mins: Man Utd get us under way in their change strip of white shirts and black shorts playing left to right. We'll have a whizz round your predictions in a mo, not many with me on a West Ham win!

1650: Evening all, and welcome to Orange's live commentary on the FA Cup third round clash at the Boleyn Ground. Joe Cole makes his West Ham debut in his second spell at the club, after joining on an 18-month contract on Friday morning. But the Irons are still without injured on-loan striker Andy Carroll so Carlton Cole continues in attack. Wayne Rooney is absent for Manchester United after being ruled out for another two weeks due to a knee injury, while Robin van Persie is rested meaning Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez start up front. I'll bring you live commentary from 1715. In the mean time use the box on the right to send in your scoreline predictions and any bets you've got on the FA Cup today. My accumulator has already been torn up - thanks for nothing Forest!
