SEMI-FINAL DRAW: Chelsea v Swansea, Bradford v Aston Villa
90+2 mins: That's full time! The Blues are in the hat for the semis along with Swansea, Villa and Bradford, with the draw coming right up. Leeds were deserved leaders at the break but withered in the second half as the European champions' class told - 5-1 is a harsh scoreline on the Championship side though.
90 mins: There's two minutes added on as the crowd of 33,816 is announced, the biggest here for two seasons. And maybe the wettest.
88 mins: Chelsea are coasting towards the whistle and making Leeds do all the running, not that they've got much left in the tank.
85 mins: Another Blues sub as Mata is replaced by Ferreira.
Beth, Rye: ""I just love thrashing Leeds" !! Come on the Blues !!"
Mohsin, Isb, Pakistan: ""i did say torres wouldn't score in a brothel" hahahaha.... he scored in Elland Road..... lol"
83 mins: TAP-IN FOR TORRES TO MAKE IT A ROUT! Lampard has a dig from 22 yards, it's parried towards Hazard, he squares first time to Torres who taps home from six yards! 5-1 is very harsh on Leeds.
AJ, Manc: "idid say torres wouldnt score in a brothel"
81 mins: HAZARD WRAPS IT UP! It's a superb through ball with bags of pace from Luiz which sets Hazard free, he takes three touches on the run and slots low past Ashdown into the left corner! (Glad I didn't waste money on 3-1 too!)
79 mins: Leeds win a corner on the left, it's lofted in to the far post, Cech flaps a bit but half gets it away, there's a penalty as Oscar upends Norris but Marriner waves play on. Just noticed I predicted Leeds 1 Chelsea 3 with Becchio first scorer. Did I put a bet on it? NO. Brilliant.
76 mins: Byram and Becchio get in each other's way as they go for a header in the box, before Tonge's drive is deflected for a corner which comes to nothing.
74 mins: Sub for Chelsea as Cole replaces Bertrand who has picked up a knock.
73 mins: Double sub for Leeds, Norris and McCormack on for Brown and Diouf. How Brown made it through 73 minutes without getting booked is bewildering.
Jeff, IOW: "Chelsea look fitter than Leeds ..despite a 12k rnd trip !! Class tells"
69 mins: Great chance to kill the tie as the Blues break, but the pull-back from Torres on the edge of the box is woeful, and behind his team-mates.
68 mins: Sub for Leeds, White coming on for Thomas. It's all gone a bit flat at Elland Road.
66 mins: IT'S A QUICKFIRE DOUBLE! Mata lays the ball off to MOSES, he comes inside and rifles a stunning low drive past Ashdown! Have Leeds' cup dreams evaporated in the space of a minute?
65 mins: IVANOVIC HEADS CHELSEA IN FRONT! The Blues win a corner down the left, it's swung into the six-yard box and Ivanovic bullies his way through and bullets a header past Ashdown!
61 mins: It's a crowded affair in the six-yard box as Leeds swing in a free-kick but Luiz heads clear. Thomas has a cross cut out by Ivanovic and Moses brings it away.
59 mins: Ashdown makes a great stop from a point-blank Torres header. Leeds break and a lung-busting run by Diouf puts the pressure back on the Blues, but the move ends with a weak shot by Thomas which is easy for Cech.
58 mins: Change for Chelsea as Hazard takes over from Marin.
56 mins: Leeds pile the pressure on and have the Blues hemmed in their own half for a spell, Diouf crosses, Becchio and Green are in the middle but Cech's first to it.
53 mins: Diouf's ushered off the ball in the box by Ivanovic but it's more solid defending than a penalty shout. Diouf's theatrical tumble didn't help his cause.
50 mins: Handball shout by Leeds but play is waved on before Becchio swings in a great cross from the left, Bertrand getting ahead of Diouf to clear the danger.
47 mins: MATA LEVELS FOR THE BLUES! A crisp Chelsea move through midfield ends with Mata sidefooting past Ashdown into the corner from the edge of the box!
46 mins: Leeds get the second half started with no subs to report. And it's still raining.
Ken, Barnsley: "How has Brown not been been booked. Clogger in a team of cloggers"
Nathan H, Dorset: "Chelsea are the champions of Europe. Leeds are beating Chelsea. Derby beat Leeds. Derby are the best team in Europe? Come on you rams!"
Jed, Kent: "I didn't even know the "if it moves i'll kick Brown was still playing !!"
John Crocker, Scarborough: "got the first scorer. so in profit. now need chelsea win for a half- time full- time double and jackpot win."
Stephen, Doncaster: "get in leeds im a mufc fan but i dont like chelsea"
45+3 mins: That's half time! Leeds lead the European champions at the break thanks to Becchio's sweep home from eight yards after 37 minutes. Both sides have had decent chances besides at a sodden Elland Road, but with just the one goal in it we're set for a sizzling second half. Keep your thoughts coming via the box on the right, and join me for more from 2050.
45+2 mins: Free-kick against Brown for a tug on Oscar. Lampard goes for goal from all of 30 yards, it bends and dips late, Ashdown making a superb one-handed stop at full stretch down to his left!
45 mins: Lees nearly doubles the lead! Diouf crosses from the left and he heads inches over the bar! There's three minutes added on at Elland Road.
43 mins: Moses has the ball in the net with the slick finish but it's all in vain - the flag's already gone up for offside against Torres who supplied the final ball.
40 mins: Has "You're getting sacked in the morning" ever been sung so loudly? Meanwhile, on the pitch, Lampard has a dig from distance which is clawed away by Ashdown to his right.
37 mins: BECCHIO FIRES LEEDS AHEAD! A sloppy ball by Luiz is cut out by Byram and Thomas is set free down the left, he crosses low to Becchio who sidefoots home from eight yards just inside the left-hand post! Elland Road goes potty!
35 mins: Ivanovic is given bags of time and space to drive towards the box and unleash one from 22 yards, but it sails a couple of yards over the bar.
34 mins: Decent chance for Becchio from a high ball in but his header into the turf from eight yards is saved on the deck by Cech.
31 mins: Marin wins a corner for the Blues on the right, he looks for Luiz in the box but it's headed clear. Chelsea keep the pressure on before Luiz has a shot charged down and it's hoofed upfield.
29 mins: Leeds win a corner on the far side which is wasted - sent in to the near post and easily headed away.
26 mins: Torres has a sight of goal but Pearce slides in to prevent him getting the shot in. Great skill from Mata then to find space to side-foot a shot on goal which is deflected for a fuitless corner.
23 mins: Moses is convinced he was clipped by Brown as he raced into the box but ref Marriner's not. The ball's soon back with the Chelsea man and it needs a good strong hand from Ashdown to beat his 15-yarder away.
20 mins: Hmmm. Brown goes down holding his face like the proverbial in midfield when Mata only seemed to nudge him. The replay's inconclusive. He's fine to carry on after a spot of treatment.
18 mins: Pearce gets on the end of a Diouf free-kick but with his back to goal he can't get his header on target from 10 yards.
16 mins: Hearts in local mouths as the ball almost deflects into the path of Torres from a Blues break, but it trickles past the left post for a goalkick.
15 mins: Lampard's first in the book for clattering Diouf from behind. That one really did invoke the spirit of 1970! The ref actually waved play on before his assistant had a word over the mic, pointing out what everyone else in the ground could see.
12 mins: Luiz v Brown is one to look out for as they've had a few little nibbles at each other, though it's hardly Ron 'Chopper' Harris v Eddie Gray!
11 mins: Lampard gives away a free-kick out on the right which is swung in by Diouf. Becchio heads it back across goal from the far post but nobody's close enough to attack it.
9 mins: Peltier finds Becchio in midfield but the whistle goes for backing into Ivanovic.
Sanchez, Sheffield: "El Hadj Is The Man In This Game"
6 mins: Chance for Moses! Oscar picks out his run into the left of the box with a fine through ball, Moses driving one towards the near post and Ashdown beating it away! Corner comes to nothing.
David, Barnsley: "cant believe people actually think that chelsea are going to loose this game and torres wont score!"
4 mins: Diouf drives down the left of the box and clips in a cross, Becchio and Green are in the middle but Cech plucks the ball from the air ahead of them.
2 mins: Leeds are up and at 'em from the off amid a crackling atmosphere. Diouf bids to break through the middle but Mata gets a foot in and breaks up the flow.
0 mins: Warnock shakes hands with Benitez with the pair wearing the fakest smiles for the cameras, 'Marching On Together' cuts through the rain and fades as ref Andre Marriner gets the game under way, Chelsea kicking off in their usual blue and playing right to left in the first half.
Twiggy, Ross on Wye: "1-3 and the v handsome Lampard 1st goal."
Chris, Exeter: "All that hair-FACT! All those tears-FACT! Chelsea may rename Luiz as:Sideshow BLUB after his fav cartoon character."
1941: It's tipping it down in West Yorkshire as a sold-out Elland Road waits to see which side will join Bradford, Villa and Swansea in the draw for the semi-finals. That, by the way, will be made shortly after tonight's game.
AJ, Manc: "torres couldnt score in a brothel"
Daniel, London: "This could be a good game 2nite, and im sure leeds can produce another upset in the capital one cup"
Peter, Hartland: "this will be easy for leeds"
1924: Evening all, and welcome to Orange's live commentary on the Capital One Cup quarter-final at Elland Road. The fierce rivalry may have been dormant for nine years, but it's rekindled tonight in West Yorkshire. Team news, and Fernando Torres starts up front for the visitors, with Marko Marin and Oscar coming into the midfield. Jason Pearce replaces cup-tied Alan Tate at the back for Leeds, Jamie Ashdown starting between the sticks with Michael Brown coming into midfield. I'll bring you live updates from a saturated Leeds at 1945. In the mean time use the box on the right to send in your predictions, and any bets you've got on.
