live commentary

FULL-TIME: GUNNERS GO THROUGH!Well they don't do things the easy way. Arsenal spurned a hatful of chances in a one-sided second half as they were denied by the woodwork, a string of saves, goalline clearances and some woeful finishing. But better late then never as Wilshere rocketed home the winner with four minutes left on the clock to book a fourth-round trip to Brighton. Pack your buckets and spades, Gooners.

90 mins:Three minutes added on. Dyer tries to break for Swansea down the left but runs the ball out of play for a goal kick.

86 mins: ARSENAL FINALLY MAKE THE BREAKTHROUGH!The Gunners have huffed and puffed and now they've blown Swansea's house down. Giroud's deft touch runs into the path of WILSHERE, who fires in a cracking half-volley from the edge of the area. Nothing Vorm could do about that one.

85 mins:Another chance as Giroud's goalbound strike hits Tiendalli inside the six-yard box. Arsenal should be out of sight but still can't score.

84 mins:Ramsey is immediately involved and finds Walcott on the right of the area, but his shot is blocked at the near post by Vorm.

83 mins:Arsenal make their first change as Welshman Ramsey replaces Diaby.

81 mins:Now Arsenal hit the woodwork! Sagna's cross from the right just misses Walcott's head but almost creeps in as the ball bounces off the inside of the far post. Swansea survive - AGAIN!

80 mins:Here's that Swansea break I warned you about. Ki lines up a shot from 20 yards which he arrows towards the bottom corner, but Szczesny lunges across his goal to tip wide. Chico meets the corner at the near post but heads into the side netting.

79 mins:And still no way through for the Gunners. Wilshere's deflected pass finds Giroud, but the Frenchman fires his weak shot straight at Vorm.

77 mins:Arsenal force a corner but Wilshere's set-piece fails to beat the first man. Swansea have soaked up so much pressure in this half - it's inevitable that they will score on the break!

73 mins:Vorm is called into action again as he beats away Wilshere's fierce drive from the edge of the box.

72 mins:It's all Arsenal. Swansea can't get out of their own half as Sagna rifles a long-range shot just over Vorm's goal.

71 mins:Swansea make their final sub as Graham is replaced by Michu, who is booed by the Arsenal fans. That will be because he scored a brace here last month.

70 mins:Another chance wasted by Walcott. After a mix-up at the back, Walcott cuts inside Chico and tries to guide the ball into the far corner, but he doesn't get enough bend on his shot which runs wide. If he wants to play through the middle then he needs to tuck those away.

68 mins:Arsenal are piling on the pressure as Giroud tests Vorm with a 25-yard strike which the keeper holds. Swansea are hanging on.

64 mins:Off the line again! Vermaelen meets a corner and heads the ball past Vorm towards the far corner, but Britton is on the post and nods it clear.

63 mins:Graham might be in the Swansea side to score goals, but he's saved his side from going one down. After failing to clear an Arsenal cross, the ball breaks to Wilshere, who fires in a shot from six yards which is saved by Vorm. The loose ball loops into the air and is volleyed goalwards by Walcott, but Graham makes a superb clearance off the line from point-blank range. I'm not sure how much Graham knew about it but he got his body in the way. Arsenal's players appeal for handball but the replays confirm it struck Graham on the chest. Excellent decision by the officials.

62 mins:Wilshere sets off on another storming run into the Swansea box, but again it's Chico to the rescue as he deflects the Englishman's shot wide for a corner.

61 mins:Now another Swansea sub as former Celtic midfielder Ki replaces De Guzman.

59 mins:Walcott whips in a corner which Giroud flicks wide of the far post after getting in front of Graham. Pablo is now coming on as he replaces Agustien.

56 mins:Arsenal continue to threaten as Giroud plays a low ball into the mixer which Britton hacks behind for a corner.

54 mins:Swansea are preparing to make a sub as Pablo receives some final instructions.

51 mins:Cazorla unleashes a blistering strike from 25 yards which flies just over the Swansea bar. Like the first half, Arsenal have started positively.

49 mins:What a chance for Walcott! Diaby sends his team-mate through on goal with a sweeping pass. Walcott uses his pace to get away from Chico and only has the keeper to beat, but he dinks the ball over Vorm and wide of the far post. Walcott claims he was pushed in the back by Chico but he managed to stay on his feet. There was contact but not enough to convince Mark Clattenburg. Walcott should have still scored.

46 mins:No subs at the break as Swansea restart the game. The Welsh side have leading goalscorer Michu, who netted both goals in their 2-0 win here in the league last month, on the bench.

HALF-TIME:No breakthrough at the Emirates. Arsenal started and ended the half strongly with Vermaelen almost putting the Gunners ahead just a few seconds ago. However, in the middle of that, the best chance of the game fell to former Arsenal defender Bartley, who headed against the crossbar from six yards when he should have really scored. It took 80 minutes for the first match at the Liberty Stadium to burst into life so make sure you stick around for the second half.

45+1 min:Arsenal almost pinch a goal with seconds remaining in the half. A corner deflects off Mertesacker to Vermaelen on the edge of the six-yard box, but the Belgian's left-footed shot on the turn is blocked by Vorm's legs. That was probably Arsenal's best chance of the game.

45 mins:One minute added on.

43 mins:Arsenal have regained control of this game as the first half draws to a near. Sagna swings over a cross to the far post. Gibbs heads the ball across the face of the six-yard box but Chico is again there to clear. He's been a colossal at the back for the visitors.

39 mins:Sight on goal for Arsenal. Wilshere glides past a couple of challenges and into the Swansea box. His run is eventually halted, but the ball breaks perfectly for Walcott whose strike is blocked.

37 mins:I've not mentioned Cazorla once in this first half until now. He's playing a wider role down the left but has barely been involved. Arsenal started the game well but Swansea have come back strongly and it's now a more even affair.

35 mins:Agustien splits the Arsenal defence with a grounded pass through the middle, but Dyer's heavy first touch allows Vermaelen to slide across and clear for a corner, which is cleared.

32 mins:A Wilshere corner almost bounces kindly for Vermaelen, who is lurking towards the far post, but Chico comes across to clear the danger.

28 mins:Diaby catches De Guzman with his arm and the Swansea midfielder needs attention from the physio. The referee has a quiet word with Diaby but doesn't produce a card. It looked accidental.

25 mins:Swansea strike the woodwork! Bartley has a wonderful chance to score against his former employers, but the defender heads against the bar from six yards after being picked out by Routledge's cross. Arsenal's defence were static.

22 mins:Chico heads the corner out to Coquelin on the edge of the area. The French midfielder meets the ball on the half-volley and his thumping strike is spilled by Vorm, who then quickly gathers the loose ball.

21 mins:Vermaelen pelts the free-kick past the wall and narrowly over the bar. A corner is awarded so it must have taken a deflection off a Swansea player.

20 mins:Walcott jinks past Chico on the edge of the Swansea box and appears to get clipped. The Arsenal attacker tries to stay on his feet but eventually stumbles, earning his side a free-kick a yard outside the area.

17 mins:Diaby stretches his legs as the herculean midfielder hustles into the Swansea box, but his low shot is charged down by Bartley.

15 mins:Swansea enjoy their first foray into the Arsenal box. Dyer tries to dance past the defence and is tackled by Vermaelen before Routledge's follow-up strike is well blocked by Sagna.

13 mins:Scotty from Kent says, "Can see this one going to pens, 1-1 after 90 minutes. Probably the only chance Arsenal have of going through and that's coming from an Arsenal fan!" Well your side are well on top with Walcott and Giroud seeing plenty of the ball.

9 mins:Wenger might not be able to zip up his coat (where's Pat Rice when you need him?) but he'll be pleased with the way his side has started this game. The Gunners are dominating possession as Chico heads clear Giroud's cross.

6 mins:As Monsieur Wenger again struggles to fasten the zip on his coat, his side carve out two half-chances in the space of a minute. Both fall to Giroud, but the wasteful striker heads Walcott's cross wide before spraying a low shot into the side netting from 15 yards.

3 mins:Graham finds some space just outside the Arsenal area but the striker screws his shot wide of the Gunners goal. It's been brought to my attention by Brad from Wales that exactly 10 years ago, Swansea were four points adrift of safety at the foot of the Football League. Arsenal, on the other hand, were four points clear at the top of the Premier League. There's hope for Bristol Rovers fans yet!

0 mins:The Gunners get this FA third-round replay underway, hoping to end Swansea's unbeaten run in cup competitions this season.

1927:The players are waiting patiently in the tunnel at the Emirates. Swansea skipper Ashley Williams isn't here tonight because his wife is due to give birth so Leon Britton will lead out the Welsh side.

1850:Team sheets are in. Per Mertesacker replaces Laurent Koscielny, who was sent off in Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, while Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin come in for Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Swansea make six changes from their goalless draw at Everton. Top goalscorer Michu is among those rested but will be on the bench. Danny Graham leads the Welsh side's attack while former Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley is handed a rare start.
