Our 100 Hours In A Field starts here. We’ve arrived at Glastonbury and just had to start by heading up to the Stone Circle and looking back at the amazing sight of tents, lights and humanity spread out across the fields.

The big stages don’t go into action until Friday but more people than ever have turned up early - they say 60,000, it feels like more - and there’s something spectacular about being among such a crowd of people all out to have the best time ever, some of them dressed up to party, others just milling around happily.

It’s getting dark and, as one of the Glasto newbies in the team, I’m starting to lose my bearings but someone’s just said “Hey, just roll with it.” OK.

Arrived from dorset at about 12 and had no probs getting in. Was really lucky. Drove straight in with no jams at all. Thank you. Wheel broke on trolley half way in. Nightmare. 3 people walked by that were staying in the camper van field and were walking into site. They offered to help me carry my stuff right to my campsite. They were angels. Was all set up by 3 and then enjoyed the wander around Glastonbury. This is my first time and god it’s massive. Will blog again over weekend. Enjoy. X

We’ve just made it through the queues of traffic and finally arrived on the green fields of Glastonbury. Yay! Let’s hope the forecasters are wrong and we’re not wading through the brown stuff by Friday.

I’m off for a wander to try to find some of my fellow bloggers and recruit a few more. We’re out to capture the real Glastonbury experience by posting stories, pictures and videos through every hour of the festival - and we want as many people as possible to get involved by using their mobile phones to grab those magic moments and share them in 100 Hours In A Field

Buzz has been to Glastonbury six times. This is his guide to campsites. Some people tactically head for the furthest camp sites near the Stone Circle where the cleanest toilets are supposed to be, but Buzz says head straight for the Pyramid Stage.

On the bus at last! Just getting on the bus seems like a milestone and a bonding experience for festival goers. On the top deck you can see just how big the queue is and that’s at 5 pm. The buses were getting a police escort to the train station because the traffic was so bad, but even so there just weren’t enough to go round. I’ve met so many people today and it’s helped to build a real sense of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. Even though I’ve travelled several hundred miles, it feels like the journey is only just about to begin…

The gates are open - and we’re getting ready to capture the real Glastonbury experience hour by hour in a communal blog based on stories, pictures and videos uploaded live by festival-goers from their mobile phones.

We’ve got a core team of Orange bloggers out and about across the huge site looking to uncover the hidden stories and special experiences of Glasto - and we want as many people as possible to join in and help tell the story of the festival by sending texts, pictures and videos to 60300, starting with the word GLASTO.

All the stories and images will be posted live here on the Orange web site, creating a mass mobile blog that’ll unfold hour by hour from this evening right through till we all pack our bags on Monday morning.
