100 hours in a field

the-end

Our 100 Hours in a Field are over - and what an experience. From the very first hour to the last hour it’s been an incredible journey. It’s not just the music. It’s not just the people. It’s a unique combination of shared experiences - and breaking out of the bubble and going home feels really strange.

We created 100 Hours in a Field to try to capture the real experience of being at Glastonbury - the things you don’t get from watching Glastonbury highlights on TV. If you were at the festival and you’ve got some great images or videos on your mobile phone or camera - or just some great memories to share - send them to us on shortcode 60300 starting your message with the world GLASTO. Tell us what time and day they were taken and we’ll add them in to one of the hundred hours.

A special thank you to our competition-winning bloggers Oliver Booker and Nicholas Dent who were right at the heart of the action for so many of the memorable moments of festival - from Bruce Springsteen walking on to perform with Gaslight Anthem to singing along with Blur’s Parklife, as well as secret gigs by Lady Gaga, Jack “White Stripes” White and Gaz “Supergrass” Coombes.

Roll on 2010. In the meantime we’ve got 100 Hours in a Field to look back on and relive the Glastonbury Michael Eavis called “the best one ever”.

And now it’s time for the long journey home …
