The great and the good of the music world were out in force at the Q Awards on Monday - with Adele, Coldplay and Ed Sheeran all picking up honours.
Cementing the fact that 2011 really is 'The Year of the Adele' the South London singer picked up two gongs, 'Best Female' and 'Best Track' for 'Rolling In The Deep'.
Q stalwarts Coldplay were somewhat predictably awarded 'The Best Act In The World Today', while a worthy Ed Sheeran was named as the music magazine's top 'Breakthrough Act', beating the likes of Jessie J and Miles Kane.
But it was Irish rockers U2 that picked up the most prestigious award of the night after readers voted them as the 'Greatest Act of the Past 25 Years'. The award coincides with Q's 25th birthday.
Other winners included Tinie Tempah as the 'Best Male Act', Biffy Clyro as 'Best Live Act' and the girl on everybody's lips right now, Lana Del Rey, who was named as the publication's 'Next Big Thing'.
Time will tell if that accolade is a blessing or a curse...
