She may have recently won The Next Big Thing award at this year's Q Awards, but Lana Del Rey still has some naysayers to win over, claiming that her remaining critics are sexist.
The 'Video Games' singer scored her No.9 hit after clocking up hits on YouTube, but online commentators have been focusing on aspects other than her music - namely her full lips.
Lana speculates that if she were a man, her ascent to fame would have faced far less criticism. She told Wonderland Magazine: "I'm sure it wouldn't have happened if I were a man. What other people think of me is none of my business but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt my feelings."
That's the spirit, Lana! Although the star admitted that sometimes she found it hard to deal with the haters. "My mood changes about it depending on the day. In general, you don't want anyone to say anything bad about you." she said.
Lana will kick off a UK tour in Manchester tomorrow (4 November).
