Setting up your phone to use Mobile Mail is easy. If you have a phone that came with the app already installed, you will find the Mail client either on the home screen or in the main menu of your phone.

If you need to download the app, text email to 247 to receive a text from Orange with a link to Orange World where you can download the software to your phone. Or visit Orange World and go to the email page.

Click on the Mail icon to start the service, select your email provider and enter your email address and password. Your phone will then alert you when an email arrives.

You can add between 3 -5 email addresses dependent on your phone and any attachments are also delivered to your phone.

You can add a work email address by selecting 'Work' or 'Email for Exchange' from the list of providers. Your employer's email service needs to be set up so it can be accessed from the web and you will need the

• server address
• username and
• password.

Your organisation's IT Manager should be able to provide this information to you.

Please note that roaming charges are in addition to subscriptions for Mobile Mail. These will be charged at the standard data roaming rates.

If you do travel abroad regularly and you want to continue using the service you will need to change a setting in the client on the phone. To do this from the client, click 'general settings', 'quiet times', change 'when roaming' from 'off' to 'on'. In establishing the GPRS connection a roaming charge will be triggered when the device connects to the network, enabling the service to send and receive email.
