The maverick Brazilian looked a bit of a risk at £32.5m when he moved from Real Madrid to Manchester City with reported £160,000-a-week wages. He settled in quickly though, before losing interest as his goal tally waned at the start of 2009/10. After 14 goals and 41 appearances, he was loaned to Santos before AC Milan signed him for £15m - a huge loss that must have made even City's sheikhs wince.
