United were on course for a double win over the Blues, but they were pegged back three times, conceding a third goal to Eden Hazard's penalty with the last kick of normal time. Daniel Sturridge nudged the Blues ahead for the first time in extra time and Ramires then made it 5-3, before a late Ryan Giggs spot-kick set up a nailbiting finale with Chelsea just hanging on.
