It was a fitting finale that had everything and, amid the carnage, it was difficult to follow what on earth was going on. Button took the win which was overshadowed by the title tussle. Vettel held a 13-point lead over Alonso but dropped to last after a first-lap collision with Senna. But through the rain and multiple pit stops, it was Vettel who emerged the man, coming home sixth to finish three points ahead of second-placed Alonso to become the youngest ever three-time world champion.
