Hamilton became the seventh different race winner in Montreal, where he habitually shines. The win came late as he got the best out of his Pirelli-shod McLaren to force his way past both Alonso and Vettel. Following the victory, Hamilton said: "What a great feeling it is to win where I won my first grand prix. This feels like one of the best races I've had for a very long time."
