It's that time of year when awards are being handed out left, right and centre. At Orange, we've decided to dish out our own gongs, in the form of the 2012 alternative sports awards.

Sideburns of the year:
It's proved a great year for sporting facial hair with Movember throwing up some classic moustachioed contenders but, for facial hair growth, Tour winner Bradley Wiggins takes the biscuit. His sideburns were so powerful that, just after shaving them off, he was knocked off his bike by a van.
