Jim Pierce - The dad of Mary Pierce is best known for shouting "Mary, kill the bitch!" during an under-12s match. It was not uncommon for him to slap her or shout in her face if she lost. He took her out of school aged 13 as "high school is some guy scratching his butt, trying to sell my daughter crack cocaine". He was later banned from the women's tour, Pierce dropped him as a coach and got a restraining order. When that didn't work, she hired a bodyguard to keep him away. Tough love gone a bit too far.

We were at a schoolboys moto cross event with my son who rode. One of the fathers was caught by the officials beating his son for not winning the previous race! He had been seen at other events doing the same and warned him, this time he was banned from all UK events, Unfortunately as his father drove him to events the son also stopped riding, and spoilt his enjoyment of competing.
