Managers and players do not always see eye to eye but last season (now ex-) Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi took mutual distaste to a new level. Drawing 2-2 half an hour into a match at Novara, he substituted Adem Ljajic, who greeted the news by sarcastically applauding his manager's decision. Rossi didn't take this little act of petulance too well and attacked him. Unsurprisingly he was sacked within hours.
