Frankie Dettori's day at the races at Ascot in 1996 remains the stuff of legend. He produced an astonishing clean sweep of the day's card by winning every one of the seven races. Less well remembered from the day was Darren Yeats, of Morecambe. He placed a bet of £59 on the unlikely outcome and duly bagged himself £550,000.
